Sun screens are an absolute must in Arizona, but how do you properly maintain and clean them to make them last? That’s exactly what we’ll be covering in this blog post…
At Screen Specialists, we use a screen fabric called Textilene. They recommend regular cleaning of your fabric at least twice a year for residential applications, and more often for high-traffic areas or contract applications.
Sun Screen Cleaning Instructions
Textilene has provided us with these specific cleaning instructions. These cleaning instructions can also be found on their warranty information card.
- To clean all Textilene® Brand Fabrics, sponge with a solution of one-cup mild detergent with one-cup household bleach in three gallons of water.
- Rinse thoroughly with clear water and air-dry completely. Treat any stains as soon as possible.
Important: Do not use any abrasive household cleaners, and refrain from using suntan lotions and oils on Textilene products.
